It gives us immense pleasure to learn that the BUP Journal, Volume 9, Issue 1 is going to be published soon. The journal offers avenues for researchers and practitioners to present contemporary scholarly matters associated with academia as well as the wider society. Research is an enduring pursuit with persistent and focused efforts leading to creating consequences. Encouraging research and creating a platform to publish quality research papers, based on empirical or scholarly research works, have been a continuous venture of the BUP Journal. With the continuation of research and publication endeavors, BUP will move forward towards the summit of its intellectual potential.

The recent issue of BUP Journal encompasses research articles from the diversified academic disciplines of Economics, Public Administration, Agricultural Studies, Disaster Management Engineering and Security Studies. We believe that the freshly derived knowledge, information and insights shared by the scholars and authors will make a substantial contribution to shaping the BUP journal as an exemplary platform for academic discourse.

In order to expand and integrate the academic interventions of the University with the global context, BUP aims to nurture a progressive educational environment for students, academics and administrative members. In addition to the collaborative initiatives undertaken in previous years with reputed international educational institutions, BUP has continued its quest for knowledge exploration within the national and international domains. In this regard, BUP has initiated policy works on signing MoUs with the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) to further academic and institutional research capabilities.

I would like to convey my sincere appreciation and thanks to the editorial board of the BUP Journal and Centre for Higher Studies and Research (CHSR) for their meticulous efforts to make this issue a success and worth reading. I thank all experts and esteemed reviewers for providing the crucial peer-review and ensuring the academic standard of the research articles through revision and appropriate opinions. Also, I thank and convey my congratulations to all authors who contributed with their scholarly papers to this issue.

I truly hope the current issue of BUP Journal will stimulate readers’ interest to contribute to the expansion of knowledge, fostering innovation and sustainability in pursuing research.

It is my immense pleasure to see the ninth volume of the first issue of the BUP Journal. On behalf of our editorial team, I want to express my thanks to our readers, authors, reviewers and other supporting staff for a successful new publication of the BUP Journal in 2022. The mission of the BUP Journal is to encourage researchers and promote their academic research works. It is worth mentioning that the BUP Journal is registered with E-ISSN. We received a good number of research articles, all of which were sent to renowned subject experts for blind peer review. And, after a rigorous selection process, this Issue came out with seven research-oriented articles. I believe that the articles reflect the BUP motto ‘Excellence Through Knowledge’. Due to the multidimensional nature of this journal, we accommodate articles from various fields of study and disciplines including English Literature & Language, Law, Economics, Public Administration, Accounting, Oceanography and Disaster Management, etc.
The hard work of members of the Editorial Board and reviewers in assessing the articles referred to them is greatly appreciated. The articles that have been finally selected for publication had to undergo a strict evaluation process. I would like to convey my special thanks to the learned members of the Editorial Board who made their valuable remarks to standardize the articles and enrich the journal.
